ALL flat earthers: Draw your earth!

OK, I've been a little confused by the inconsistency I've been hearing about the shape of the earth from FE'ers. I'd all Flat Earther's interested to draw a picture of what they think the earth looks like. Draw it any way you feel will convey you're idea of how the earth looks from space. No need to get fancy, just an easy drawing.

Chris's map begs a question. Why would airplane flight plans be curved on a flat earth? In a flat earth, standard cartesian geometry would apply, and the shortest path would be straight on a map? On a sphere, the distance is closer with those particular curves. More conspiracy?

So you can't tell me who it was?  Curious...

Well, in school what are you taught? That the Earth is round. This continues on through flight school until you become a pilot. Of course, you wouldn't fly a completely different direction to get to your destination, and in line with the magnetic dealings of the flat Earth, east and west are curved.

Well, the flight times would be predicted to be shorter to, if the assumption was that the Earth is round.  But the flights on a Flat Earth would be longer, much longer.  Hasn't anyone noticed that their three hour flight is taking seven hours?

This is correct. I have myself started pilot school in a Cessna, and if you look at your average kmph, it wouldn't tally. Not 7 hours, thats an exaggeration, but 20 minutes extra is more likely. Unless the people who make my speedometers are in the conspiracy too of course...

Well, it could be 3x as long, if you're flying at around 45° South.  It's going to be around 3x as long a flight as 45°N, because the radius is 3x as much on FE.

This is still a subject I want to do and break out the numbers on. It would end a lot of speculation.

You could be right. I was never very good on the quantitative side of that, I was better on the qualitative. The point is, the speedometers are part of the conspiracy plot too. Very well organized conspiracy, I must say.

Flight do take more time in the Southern Hemisphere. How can you prove us wrong?

Someone can't read. No-one but you said that flights take longer in the Southern hemisphere, genius. But while you're at that conclusion, explain it, please? We were talking about flight plans, something you clearly have no grasp of, and which occur on any in-air flight. Under the assumption that the Earth is flat, either my speedometer lies to me, or every time I step into a plane the government modifies my memories. Take your pick.

You must have gotten the Cessna 152 with drop tanks if you can fly far enough to notice a deviation.

No, no, I didn't fly that far. However, I have flown on a commercial plane, and I studied flightpaths before I got on the Cessna. According to Flat Earth theory, on a commercial flight from the U.S. to Asia, I should be able to notice some difference, yes? I didn't. Either the flight plan is faked and the pilot is a conspirator, the speedometer is faked to fool the pilot, or memory modification happens to all passengers. Agreed?

Really? Show me an airport log of that...in clear weather. All airports keep logs of takeoff and landing times, you know. Unless they are part of the conspiracy too....I'm merely pointing out that the conspiracy is bull. I wouldn't mind arguing about this, but the conspiracy part really ticks me off.

I know that they are mostly taken down now in favor of new flights, but find a new one. Or just create an audio recording the next time you go on a flight. You see, I think our problem is that each of us thinks that the other needs to prove the other wrong personally, and thats just never going to happen. You claim conspiracy, but do you honestly think that the insane amount of people required for that conspiracy would all keep quiet? No disenfranchised, unhappy people in this little group of oh...thousands at least?

As someone who has led teams, the attempt of keeping such a group together would be monumental, if not impossible. You'll claim assassins, but its easier to run then you might think while alerting people. Military people guarding the Ice Wall, right? Not one of them gets pissed off with their job and takes a small, miniature camera? I must admit, you're giving me a great idea for a Bourne themed movie, but I find it unlikely.

OK, I misspoke. Not flight logs, nitpicker. They do post departure and arrival times so that people can pick up people who fly. I'll get back to you on the sites in a sec, I know I saw one a while ago.
