File Transfer Protocol

What is it supposed to be used for anyways? I don't see why we need it for posts when we can just use file hosts.

I'm not sure what you are talking about but FTP is for transferring files over TCP/IP.  Specifically I don't know what you mean by "file hosts" and why we need it for posts.

It's the button with folders and a globe on it, below glow. When you used it acts like a non-functioning hyperlink.Example.

Oh, you may want to link something from an ftp server instead of from http.  It could be useful, I guess.

probably not, but I imagine it came with it and its not really worth taking it out either.
