Well, that equation, when you plot it out, reaches an asymptote.  Can you guess what value that asymptote has? 

That's right, the speed of light.  An object can accelerate at a constant rate forever and never reach the speed of light.

No, the earth has gained 9.8m/s in velocity, due to it accelerating at 9.8m/s^2 for one second.

Well we would not solve for w first off.
however when you solve it properly you will need to take into account the acceleration vector which to keep it short so after doing a fair bit of math you will end up with the equation
alpha=1/{1-(v/c)2}
which we can relate in a more classical sense using F=ma so that will become F=m(alpha) which will give us
F=m*alpha
So as you can see as your velocity approaches the speed of light your acceleration will decrease until it reaches 0

for an accelerating earth it must be looked at from all reference frames hence the term "frame invariant"

no our acceleration would be constantly decreasing as we approached the speed of light but yes we would be traveling just under the speed of light.

If I have time to tomorrow to solve it properly I will but it is too damn late to tackle the problem since to do it properly it will require some matrix and 4 vector notation.

Not at all, everything I have stated is based upon Einsteins work, it is just that the physics involved here are more modern than Einsteins work. The proper proof uses a fair amount of Einsteins work with regards to energy and momentum. I just showed the end result
