Unified Cake?

Various ethereal silk frostings and batters form a primordial goo from which solar radiation creates an outer crust, keeping the unbaked and yummy icing contents locked within the gigantic layers, providing plentiful mass for the creation of continents and other land masses. The porous nature of the cake providing the perfect lattice for life to take hold. icing and batter providing perfect basins and new growth for tectonic shifting as more heat bakes away batter into more cake.
