I don't know anyone who has.  I just see someone's smiling picture on the news.  Then, I never hear of them again.

What's your point? Not knowing these wealthy people is a hardly a justification that they are fabricated.

Are you saying that nobody has accepted the offer to take a trip to the edge of space?

why would we hear more of them ? see them at red carpet events for being famous . see them in TV interviews ? where would you possible see them more ? they are normal people , just with more money.

Holy crap!  They can get that plane into medium Earth orbit!!

Well, there goes that site's credibility.

well, you did pick an extreme wide-angle shot, and the horizon is severely distorted and absurdly curved, so that's a pretty easy straw-man for you to knock down.  maybe you didn't know it was extreme wide angle though, but if not, you know now.  there are however, a couple of other pictures in the same cluster with longer focal lengths which look to be more accurate.

either way, i would not personally feel comfortable presenting a picture showing the curvature of the earth--where the level of lens distortion is important to consider--from a camera and focal length that weren't documented.  so that rules them all out for me...at least as candidates for presentation as evidence.  (obviously i don't find the two that appear to be of longer focal lengths with minimal distortion, to be any surprise.)

but bishop, at least, is big on personal anecdote.  he even solicited it once as suitable evidence.  so why are the anecdotes listed on the site not enough?  (note, i haven't revealed what i think about anecdote as evidence.)

Thanks, Captain Obvious.

if it was that obvious to you, why did you use it as an example to knock down?  was it an attempt at humor?

Yes. It is perfectly obvious based on the only the text you write what your tone is.

I was sarcastic about the tone always being obvious in the first sentence. If you could detect that sarcasm, then the sentence in and of itself was incorrect.

Let me elaborate, I haven't seen France yet I don't conclude it isn't there, because I know other people have been to France (among other reasons).

Well she does work closely with NASA members.  I don't really take what they say at face value, let alone what most sites say.  Why should I take what hers says?

hey , if you cant prove that this site is fake , then its real , and if its real it says the earth is round .

Because that isn't faulty logic.  How about I spent a dollar on a .info and throw up saying something like "Contact me for a free view from space of the flat earth."  Since you couldn't prove it false, it would have to be real.

However, since you asked, we've already shown the earth is flat;  by your claim that would be proof that the site is fake.

that's not a tight argument.  you can't prove this site isn't a fake either, but that doesn't mean it's not.

i suppose i should rewrite that so it's not expressed as a quadruple negative, but we can always use exercise in boolean logic.

i was merely using the same logic that FE'er uses for there conspiracy.

'you cant prove the conspiracy wrong so its right.'

and ive still yet to see a real answer, just opinions and assumtions, (shameless plug for answers>>>) just like my different hours of sunlight thread and my scientists thread and my creation of the FE thread.
