Challenge the Round Earth Model
« on: November 18, 2007, 03:50:50 PM »
It seems that a lot of time on this forum the RE's try and prove the FE's wrong.

However, since the accepted model in the world today is that of a round earth, shouldn't the onus be on the FE's to come up with arguments against the RE model?

just a general musing

Uh, you mean the RE'ers are trying to prove the FE model wrong, ending up proving themselves wrong. The FE theory may have holes, but the efforts by RE'ers just make the holes even bigger.

However, since the accepted model in the world today is that of a round earth, shouldn't the onus be on the FE's to come up with arguments against the RE model?
There are many arguments.

but lots of the recent threads in this forum are started by RE's saying to FE's whats wrong with their model...not the other way around.

im just saying for once i'd like to be able to explain something rather than challenge it

No. You came here an sought us out for confrontation. We did not seek you out.

On this forum the pretense is that the earth is flat. Therefore the onus is on you to prove that it is actually round. The onus is also on you to research the Flat Earth Literature instead of constantly demanding proofs or explanations for various phenomenas.

We are under no obligation to prove that our model is correct. It is already correct by virtue of home turf. The onus is entirely on you to prove that your hypothetical model of the earth is correct.

So, what experimental evidence do you have for us demonstrating that the earth is actually a sphere?

If its true then why do all prominent scientists believe the earth is round?

Because it's what their first grade teachers told them. Duh.

Still waiting on that evidence. How can I prove experimentally that the earth is actually a globe?

who told the first grade teachers about it? their first grade teachers? surely if we follow this line back SOMEBODY of scientific nature would have told people that the earth is in fact round....

He's simply asking that you try to proves our theories wrong for once, instead of coming up with your own explanations.
If your theories are truly correct, then ours must be wrong.
Show us how they are wrong.
I'll start you off, how is the fact that the "midnight sun" is completely logical in the RE model, yet you still haven't come up with a real explanation for it in your FE model?

He already proved the REers' theories wrong. They just don't seem to grasp.

If your theories are truly correct, then ours must be wrong.
...Which is why you RE'ers should stop trying...

Show us how they are wrong.

Build your own rocket ship, blast yourself into space, and take a look at the earth.
Actually if you're still alive in the mere future, NASA will do it for you. http://www.space.com/spacetourism/

so why would people be actively promoting something which will reveal the conspiracy?

why hasn't NASA shut them down?

i find it interesting that most of the "literature" on your list is actually PARODIES and humor making FUN of FErs! someone making JOKES about YOU somehow proves you are right?

you said "the pretence is that the earth is flat". wrong word, unless you mean YOU are PRETENDING!

"already correct by default"? so you declare victory BEFORE THE EVENT STARTS?!

your model has MANY flaws, ALL of which you try to fill in with NONSENCE like "universal accellerator" and "shadow object" and "the conspiracy".
ALL of your so-called "proofs" are MISinterpretations of observations made by other people who had aready made up their minds!

in other words, Tom once again says "i am right because i am right because i am right", ad infinitum, and thinks this is PROOF!?

i still have never seen proof of an ice crystal which distorts the atmosphere to allow the midnight sun to occur...

Exactly, so Tom, what's your thoughts on this?

You know we're not "making this up", the source is cited right there for you to see.

Any input on this would be great, because you seem to disappear as soon as the thread becomes hard to argue.

get on any airplane, fly up high, and look at the horizon. take a picture of a mountain. fly around the mountain, and take more pictures.

notice that the horizon is not only curved, but the amount of curvature is the same from every angle.

there you have it, proof that earth is round!

sheesh, i don't know where to begin about the flaws in the UA THEORY.

ok, let's start with: why doesn't the moon or sun crash into earth?

The Sun and the Moon are also accelerated by UA: "Universal Acceleration".
