Clouds
« on: November 14, 2007, 05:13:54 PM »
Ok when I saw a jet flying high it was followed by a cloud. As it flew the plane arched and it looked like it was going to crash but it didn't. Explain why I could see it arch FE. Oh and while ur at it I tested it (using a desk and a globe), on a round earth it would have appeared the way I saw it, but on a flat earth it would have just flown out of site. PLease explain why I saw it this way.

I'm talking about the clouds made by airplanes flying really fast. It flew in a arch.

What about them? They are aircraft contrails. I don't see how they would be impossible in the FE model.

Have you actually looked at them with your eyes when they fly over u and watched them. Try to do that with a camera.

Yes, I watched a few of them many times and they all look just like in that picture, straight and flat.

Boy .. you gave up awfully quick. Not all contrails are flat straight lines you know.. what about those? (Not that aerial patterns are going to get you much, but still)

Ah well. Don't give up so easy, just because people shoot down your post or theory, doesn't mean you can't fire back with different answers or questions about THEIR answers. Might learn something that even helps you out on your own case.

I've learned a few things from ol' Engineer and others on here, just catching myself in "DUH"s and even stuff I just knew was right, but found out... wasn't. And I work in applied sciences every day! LOL

Take care,
John

Um... Lol.

I like it when I can't even read the post.

It's like a puzzle.

Have to put the broken pieces of the grammatical structure back together.

Oh, but that's not all!

What about the missing pieces?!

That's the fun part.   ;D

As for plane trails or whatever they are called; apart from some really groovy wavy ones saw the other day, I can't say I've seen a curved one. I'm an RE'er [sometimes] and I can honestly say I haven't seen a curved trail. I have however seen some short ones that go at a funny angle...

i heard that contrails are partly caused by humidity in the air. the movement of the plane disturbs the air, causing tiny sideways whirlwinds, which make the trail spread out...

i also heard that some people think contrails are something sinister made by some weird secret military organization...

(not the FE's "conspiracy", BTW, unrelated)

Each one of us must examine what we have in front of us and decide for ourselves whether it should be considered valid.  If you want to think that photo is doctored, go ahead.  I'm sure it won't hurt Engy's feelings.  :)

haha well in that case i choose to believe all the photos NASA has taken.
I think I'm just about done here.

The picture was posted to make a point more so than to use as evidence. Besides, thats pretty much what they look like on REality...

Ironically, this morning was a beautiful clear sky, and there were quite a few contrails. Can't prove it, obviously, lacking a) a photo, and b) one that people wouldn't doubt its being genuine, BUT, there were one or two that appeared arched. They started straight over head and arched downward like a rainbow.

Yeah I've seen those. I don't really consider those evidence though because they change altitude quite easily. If they were far enough away to see their curvature on RE, detecting the areas of descent could be hard. Sorry but I don't think we have enough to start a more serious debate yet. Although I welcome photos.

Well, they can be.  He's not using them as evidence for FE, though, he's just using them to help clarify.  If you really want to, you can go an take your own photos of the same thing, but you'll just get the same result.
