If the conspiracy is so easy to leak, then why isn't it? Probably because it ISN'T so easy!!!

Another victory for FE!!!

No.  Actually, the reason it hasn't been leaked is because there is no conspiracy.

if there was a conspiracy, they would have killed smarticus long ago.

therefore, every time he posts, he disproves it's existance, no matter what he says.

(whisper)or maybe it's just that HE'S a member of the even more secret FE conspiracy...

Why would they do that?

Not really, most REers never see me, except the ones that think us FEers are crazy nut jobs.  We are hardly a threat.  I might go as far as to say that we help legitimize the belief that a FE is "crazy" at least for the time being, unfortunately.

You RE'ers should know that...
1: certain topics have been discussed to death
2: you guys are always wrong
3: arguing only proves 2
4: what you are about to post has been posted a hundred times by idiots just like you, it didn't work out for them. Post anyway, and you'll see why or be ignored.

Smarticus, saying we are wrong does NOT make us wrong! you could say that a billion times, and it wouldn't make any difference, the earth REALLY is round, REGUARDLESS of your totally unimaginitive insults.

the more you say it, the stupider you sound.
go ahead, call me stupid again and prove i am right about you.

Diego's conspiracy compendium was well written, but one problem seems to be reasons why someone would not leak the conspiracy.  I will respond here because the original thread has grown too long:

Why You Would NOT Leak Conspiracy Information:

Fame:
Some people don't like being in the spotlight all that much. Paparazzi can get annoying, and even though attention may appear to be entertaining, it can get old pretty fast.

Possibly, but astronauts and other high-ranking people in NASA are pretty famous to begin with.  If they didn't like fame, they probably wouldn't have joined NASA in the first place.

Money:
You no longer get the big fat paychecks from the conspirators. After all of the press wears out, and starts ignoring you again--meaning no more cash from interviews--you'll probably have to start working again.

This is just wrong.  You prove the Earth is flat, and then you suddenly have to get a mudane job like everyone else?  The government as a reward would probably give you a lot of money anyway.

Peace of Mind:
You just screwed over all of your friends, just because you wanted a few minutes of fame and a lot of cash. Congratulations.

I personally would not consider a bunch of crooked liars my friends, especially if they weren't above murdering me (see "Death").

Insanity:
If you don't have enough proof, you won't be revered as a revolutionary, you'll be revered as Patient #3562 at the local mental hospital.

You might become a laughingstock, yes, but they don't institutionalize people for saying stupid things (cough Tom Cruise cough).  If you were, say, an astronaut, you could subtly record flying over a flat earth, so getting proof wouldn't be too hard.

Death:
While a most likely uncommon side-effect, NASA could easily kill you and say, "He died in a space shuttle accident, I swear." Honestly, by the way it seems on TV, those things are so unstable, no one would ever EVER doubt that someone died while in space due to some random accident (add a bunch of jargon and you've got an incredibly convincing reason for death).

I can't help but notice how this contradicts with the fact that you would feel guilty for turning these people in.  Also, deaths in NASA are very carefully investigated by the rest of the government, and they would not be swayed by some technical jargon.

Therefore, I hope everyone can see that the benefits of revealing the conspiracy would greatly outweigh those of not.  Thank you.  Saddam out.

You can't leak out a conspiracy if the conspiracy doesn't exist.  Mwah-ha-ha!

Anyway, please give a reason why people such as NASA wants to keep Earth being flat a secret BEFORE you say that it is a conspiracy.
Easy.  If the Earth is round the Bible cannot possibly be true.  Therefore NASA is trying to discredit the Bible (and of course our lord and saviour Jesus Christ in the process), and coming up with these bogus pictures of a round Earth to try to support their position.  It's all about controlling our minds and beliefs.

The money angle is absurd (although they surely are making a pretty penny, which probably makes it easier to keep the conspirators quiet).

Wasn't there a poll or something done to show that many FE'ers don't believe in the bible?

ah, so now the "famous" Tom Bishop has stooped to flinging cheap, crude insults, and thinks THAT will make people take him seriously!

i remember a quote in a book; i think it was by Tom Clancy; someone said: "the possibility of a secret mission being blown (losing it's secrecy) is proportional to the SQUARE of the number of people involved in it."

so if 3 people were involved, it would be 9 times as likely for someone else to find out.

if Tom's conspiracy is real, it would have THOUSANDS of members!

You honestly think our goverment cant keep a secret. What about area 51? Who killed JFK? Who attacked the world trade center? There are thousands of conspiracies out there. But yeah. Our government cant keep a secret.

As I have suggested already, the logical thing to do is to travel to the boundaries of the world and find it for ourselves.

It is one thing to formulate theories and discuss them, but for people around the world to believe in FE and for the conspiracy to be unmasked, we shall have to find the proof for ourselves.
The earth is just a pancake.

The money angle is absurd (although they surely are making a pretty penny, which probably makes it easier to keep the conspirators quiet).

Oh and here would be another example of why I would think FE had "anything to do with the Bible". There are many othe references too, but I thought I would bring your attention to this one, since you wrote it yourself.

Don't be so quick to patronize those around you. Especially when they are making an obvious statement and you are simply making an obvious attempt to misconstrue it. I actually never directly stated FE was somehow based in religion, but was referring to previous posts that stated as such in unfair references to the Almighty. YOU are in fact the one that took it out of context. And here you do the same all by yourself.

Take care.
