here are 2 ways to see for yourself if the world is round or flat:

proof 1: go to any airport and get on any airplane. after reaching cruising altitude, look out at the horizon.

surprise! if the earth really was flat, there would BE no horizon, and you would be able to see every single landmark in the world!
but you can't see more than a few miles, because the earth is round, and the curve blocks your view!
you don't even need an airplane; any tall building or hill would be enough to see the fact that the horizon is curved!

Seeing a curved horizon only proves that it appears that way.

Next, air is not clear. Things such as elevation, atmospheric density, atmospheric distortion, as well as perspective will limit your view no matter what shape the Earth is.

A horizon is not because of a round Earth as noted above. As for the sinking ships, it's not adequately explained. Either the Earth is spherical or there is something that interacts with the perspective effect that occurs to cause this phenomena.

you missed my point: notice that the ship is only HALF visible; you can see the top but not the bottom. only 1 possible reason: SOMETHING is blocking your view, and according to EVERY book ever written on the subject, that something is THE EARTH ITSELF.

I fly a lot and have never seen this curvature.

Many FEers hold it to be the air itself that is blocking your view.  It is not entirely transparent (which is why mountains seem to kind of fade in the distance rather than sharply disappear over the horizon).  This causes an optical illusion that explains any slight curvature you ever think you see in the surface of the earth.  It also helps explain the horizon effect.

The something is probably unknown, however it must exist because the Earth is Flat and therefore must appear to be round. This site is dedicated to working out how a flat earth looks like a round earth. One part of it is the conspiracy, the other part is the laws of physics and perspective intentionally fooling us.

anyone with a good telescope could look at jupiter, watch it spin around (proving it is round) and watch it's moons move around it, in accordance with newton and/or einstein's equations.
Galileo made such observations, but couldn't work out his own equations.

it reminds me of a strange fantasy novel called "starshield" by Margaret Weiss. the first faster-than-light spaceship from Earth passed through a "quantum barrier". on the other side, the laws of physics were different: nuclear fission did not exist, but magic worked!

oh, almost forgot: RE states that Mercury and Venus are CLOSER to the sun that earth OR the moon. and you don't even need a telescope to watch venus!

Our argument is simply that the Earth HAS TO BE FLAT because Rowbotham said so. If it appears round then there must be another explanation.
