Quote
One American, Jack Smith, took on the enemy first hand, and lived:
"The bastards fire were surrounding my house, I paid lots of money for that house, so I tried to fight the enemy off," he said, "I yelled at them, but the fire just kept coming, I got my gun and shot it, but it didn't stop, so I got a bigger gun, and used that. But nothing happened. I tried to run it over in my truck, but the damn thing took it and set it on fire! In the end I had to run away."
The American military have studied this event closely, says General Sam Walker, "We have learned a great deal on the enemy, we know that it is invulnerable to bullets, this has rendered our entire deffensive useless, we are trying to find an alternative way to fight the enemy."
As hundreds of American soldiers stand, repeatedly shooting and bombing the fire, some falling to the enemy, all America can do is stand and watch.
A local university professor said "We've been having nutcases in all week with ideas to stop the fire, one idiot even suggested using water. I reminded him that fire can destroy entire cities, it's really hot and nothing can withstand it, using water is stupid because it'll just turn into gas. Besides, we can't go wasting water, we're in the middle of a heat wave."

This whole idea of "America declares war on Fire" is basically a symbolism to the War on Terror, simply because the Americans are fighting a war in which they can't possibly win.

No. It's a war on terror, and to find WMDs. That's what Bush says, whether he understands the terminology however...

Of course it's a war on terror. However, it's not a war to find WMD; it's a war to stop the spread of terror. War on terror != Iraq War. I never even heard of Al Qaeda or other terrorist organizations possessing WMDs. Yep, Bush doesn't even understand the terminology.

War on terror is just a phrase used to justify preemptive attacks, human rights abuses and perpetual war. There's no such thing as a war on terror. How can you have war on 'terror' anyway? That's like waging war on global warming.

That would be an evaluation (criticism) of the war, not a definition. What I said is the definition: it is a war, as proposed by the Bush administration, to stop terrorism. True, it is impossible to contain the spread of terror, and to respond with military actions is like fighting fire with fire. Hence, America can't win this fight.

A war on terror is like a war on comedy, or a war on love.

George Bush actually misread the initial speech, he was supposed to say "War Of Terror!", but since the public bought it anyway they decided to cover it up.
