Ah yes, I forgot. In order for the sun to appear the same size, it would have to be further away.

Not when you take atmospheric distortion into account.

no, Tom has NEVER shown ANY actual numbers for his 3000-mile GUESS. NEVER!

and just how small would the sun have to be to match the observed size? the same size at the moon?

Well, yeah.  Approximately.  Of course the moon is also much smaller in FE theory.

you goofed, "username"! general Relativity also describes GRAVITY
General Relativity describes how gravity does not exist as a force.
Your right! It describes how gravity is real yet isn't a force. So what?

It describes of gravity is a pseudo-force, and thus, doesn't exist.

Are you saying that just because we can't see gravity it doesn't exist? What about something like air? (Or if i was a religious person, God)

Please don't resort to such archaic views of the world in this forum.

I'm saying gravity does not exist because it doesn't.

What do you mean made up accelerations?  I can measure the acceleration with nothing more than a ruler, an eraser and a watch.

paradiselost, try to realize you may not be as right or as smart as you think you are, regardless of the actual shape of the earth - (which is likely true of us all here.)  I suggest you read and understand Einsteins Relativity before you continue talking about gravity.

Thats where the problem is though, i can (and so can many others) easily understand the concepts of gravity while only a select few can understand the 'disk acceleration theory' without some kind of formal maths training.

That's great that you can understand gravity so well.  Doesn't really change the fact that it's not what's causing that apple to fall.

You apparently don't understand Relativity, because it says gravity as a force doesn't exist.  Furthermore, it describes how acceleration is locally indistinguishable from "gravity".    I don't think you understand "the concepts of gravity" as well as you think you do.

So you are saying you are right, because you believe in gravity, and Einstein is wrong because you said so?

And this somehow makes you correct?

I don't think you are an idiot.  I think its just a matter of ignorance.
