Playing with Earth's Momentum
« on: August 09, 2007, 11:04:25 AM »
I have determined that the Earth-disc does not follow a perfectly straight direction.  I can easily change momentum or even counteract with UA by throwing an object upwards.  Following Newton's Third Law of Motion, The Earth and I would proceed to go in the opposite direction with the same magnitude of force albeit lower velocity due to being a larger mass.

Stop throwing stuff so I do not screw up UA's trajectory?

No, so you don't hurt yourself.

This happens on Round Earth too.  When you jump UP (or AWAY) the Earth is forced in the opposite direction (TOWARDS OPPOSITE SIDE).  It's just too small to be measured.  Now everyone, go to one spot and jump at the same time!

No, not really.
My problem with his ideas is that it is a ridiculous thing.
