Bush , 10 years ago.
« on: August 02, 2007, 05:57:14 PM »
This video shows the change within a 10 year span how Bush was transformed from an excellent orator to  someone who fumbled with his pronunciations.  The expert opinion in this video suspects Bush of suffering from dementia

He's suffering from more than dementia. He's probably got some major brain tumor or something.
I'm so tempted to put a scratch and sniff at the bottom of a pool and see what you do...

Avert your eyes, this is too awesome for them...

Or he's fooling us all into thinking that he's an idiot so that he can pass laws behind everyone's backs that heavily favor totalitarianism and demolish social boundaries we thought we had without a single person noticing anything but some flaws and mistakes in his speeches and more major actions (i.e. War in Iraq). He's not as dumb as most people give him credit for, he's just pulling the wool over America's eyes.

Bush only has average intelligence, but the real powers behind his administration (Rove, Cheney, etc.) are the ones turning America into a dictatorship.

Right, I don't really care who's plan it was, I was just saying, it's probably a coverup. If Bush looked like a savvy, intelligent, confident man, do you think people would let him take away our first amendment or cut gratuitous breaks to his high school buddies' huge corporations? He looks like he's always floundering and making himself look stupid, and people just don't doubt it. The main reason I believe this is because it's working (and I doubt a senile, demented, old man would be that wonderful at making laws...), and continues to do so. He's pushed this country so far into totalitarianism, we lose freedoms every single day.

Al Gore for president! For the sole reason that I want to see him have a heart attack as soon as he realises that politics is about more than the environment.

BTW, everyone go see Inconveniant Truth again; not that accurate, but motivating.

He said "14 year-olders" rather than "14 year-olds" in his 10 years ago speech. The video creator obviously culled the best of the 10 year old footage and the worst of the modern footage. I don't think the change is that striking - he's always been able to speak well and convincingly at times, but also stumbles over his words at times, and I think that as he took on a larger role in politics, he was in front of the press more and more, so there was a larger pool of stumbles for the press to draw from. But lets face it - the occasional "bushism", while embarassing, does not make GW a bad president; his policies do.

Trying 14 year olds as adults? that is completely stupid. The things i did back when i was 14, i can already tell 4 years later, were completely stupid. A 14 year old's parents are more responsible for a kids behavior than they are.
