Ok, so this forum has 11 570 registered members and God knows how many more people from all around the world are browsing is as guests. That's pretty huge.
You have theories and even drawings of flat Earth that can be viewed by anyone who is smart enough to use internet.

So tell me now, if everything I read here was true, if there actually was a conspiracy theory, if Earth was really flat, what makes you think that powerful people with billions of dollars on their accounts who stand behind this conspracy would still let this site exist. Just like that. They've spend astronomical amounts of money to cover this up, and now the bunch of kids are exposing the fact that the world is flat to the entire globe (yes, globe).

Here are some of the answers that I wouldn't want to hear because they are stupid :) :

-Those couple of people in charge don't know what internet is/they don't know how to use it/don't realize how powerful medium it is (and therefore don't even know about this site).
Bullshit. Even my grandma knows that.

-They can't take our forums down.
For Gods sake, you're using SMF..

-They would expose themselves by closing this site and prove everyone that the world is flat.
Not really, they wouldn't leave a message like "omg we had to cloze dis cuz their rite about everything!!1"
Also, logging into your admin account is an easy task for someone with advanced knowledge about this.
After that they could say hundreds of things to make all of you look like fools for believing for example that the admins made this forums for a bet  :)

There are probably a lot more stupid answers but as it's really early now I'll let you say them.

So as a conclusion, web sites have been closed and even people were murdered in history for much less important things than the shape of the Earth. Maybe they still don't think you represent a threat to them but I firmly believe that if the world was really flat, those powerful people that control the entire world for centuries wouldn't let me read all this.

But yeah, conspiracy theories have always been fun and will always be so I hope you're really enjoying all this.  :)
Looking forward to your answers/comments/further questions.
Over and out.

This question has been asked many times. Should probably search the forum for some answers.

So tell me now, if everything I read here was true, if there actually was a conspiracy theory, if Earth was really flat, what makes you think that powerful people with billions of dollars on their accounts who stand behind this conspracy would still let this site exist.

As you said, there are just over 11,000 people registered on this forum. I'm assuming that the accounts haven't been cleared from the database ever, so that includes tons of accounts from kids that come on and flame as well. Now, out of those 11,000+ accounts that are registered, I'd wager that <5% actually believe in a flat Earth.

As for why they continue to leave this site up, there could be a number of reasons. I think the most logical one would be that, given the lack of verifiable answers and the massive skepticism anyone would have over this outlandish idea, there is little use in disposing of it. Plus, they have a lot more to worry about in their daily efforts. I don't think some website that can't even answer all the questions posed by the RE regulars is high on their priority list.

Until plausible answers start to surface that can hold up to scrutiny, and I'm not sure that will ever happen, I'm sure the site will be weak in its existence for showcasing the "truth".

In regards to your signature Zz, rainbows and their circular nature have nothing to do with the supposed curvature of the Earth.

Lol, this site is in no way a threat to the conspiracy.  It'd be pointless to shut it down.

I agree, seeing the entire this site is pointless anyway.

I don't know what to tell you people, if you don't believe people who have actually been to Antartic, gather somewhere and rent a boat or finish college and join some expedition and actually go there to see it for yourself whether it's a real continent or just some ice wall. You won't prove anything by sitting in your chair, eating popcorn and screaming WORLD IS FLAT.

At the moment you don't have a sinlge proof to convince me or anybody else that the world is actually flat just some random bullshit. Therefore I see you as a joke and I even started to believe that most of you are doing this because you're just simple attention whores. If everyone in the world said, ok the world is actually flat, you would say no stupid it's round.

There's no point in my engaging in further discussion here untill you provide some solid evidence.
Have a nice life.

1.  99.9% of the people on these forums don't believe FE theory
2.  See Earth: Not a Globe for evidence of a FE (that has been torn apart already, no need to discuss it)
3.  I am, and I will.

Why should the government feel the need to shut down this website if this website actually turns more people away from Flat Earth Theory than it brings in?

Because some people think this site makes a big difference in the believers of a FE ::)

A very good point.

The contents of this site are so ludicrous and the 'factual' parts (such as the aforementioned book) have been torn apart so savagely and entirely by scientific fact that it makes it very hard to believe in a Flat Earth. In closing this forum more would spring up (possibly under aliases) basically forcing the FE Group 'underground', an event which has occured many times over the history of the modern world such as opponents to Hitler and Stalin.

in answer to the OP, it's a fruitless task, close one site down and five more splinter ones will pop up.

It actually wouldn't surprise me if this website was actually planted by the conspiracy because it seems to do such a good job debunking the idea of a flat earth.

Hmmm...

I'm onto your sinister plans, Daniel!  You might be fooling these other monkey asses but you're not fooling me!  You've been working for the conspiracy all along, haven't you?  :o
Where did you educate the biology, in toulet?
