I came across a packet Splenda and noticed a diabolical claim: "Suitable for people with diabetes." So I pondered on the idea of a miracle chemical that could sweeten foods yet not affect diabetics. But, if one would look closely to the ingredients I saw two types of sugar (sugar being the obvious bane of diabetics): Dextrose and Sucralose. How can the FDA get away with this deadly product? Simple. For Money. The FDA has been given handouts since it first arose. Numerous fast food and restaurant industries have funded the FDA to ensure MSG is kept legal. MSG is infamous for its harmful effects including obesity, hypoglycemia, and retinal degeneration.
In conclusion, Splenda, just like the FDA and TheEngineer, spread lies that are not only limited to diabetics, but also to the consumer. For example, its main ingredient, sucralose, is supposedly 320 to 1000 times sweeter than sugar. But don't bother tasting a packet of Splenda; you find it to taste like chalk!
