Weather anyone?
« on: June 21, 2007, 08:55:35 AM »
Ok if our "FE" is moving up however much what happens to clouds? Do they just go to the edge and disappear? And how do they keep aloft? With the FE moving and there's no gravity whatsoever then ho does the clouds stay up there?

I will answer your question if you first explain the reason for the clouds staying aloft on a RE.

And how do they keep aloft?
As you konw clouds are formed from water which keeps rising up and becomes heated up by the sun. Onece it hits it's saturation point it condenses. And as long as the cloud that has air inside it that is warmer than the outside air it floats.

Question answered.

The 50 000 ft ice wall holds the atmosphere, along with the little clouds, in.

Nope question isn't answered.

You answered it!  If that isn't the answer to the question, then point out the areas of a FE that would make your explanation false.

The reason why is that read the bold sentence then answer for me. If it's moving  without any gravity  then it would be moving into the clouds.

The reason the earth doesn't is explained by yourself ::).

Actually it is, go look up 'clouds' and see if he's right.

From the FE perspective, as long as they remained light enough, presumeably they would rise up as in RE and keep inside by was of the Ice Wall.

Ok, I get the feeling you're not understanding how this would work.  You see, the earth is accelerating upwards in open space.  When the earth accelerates upwards, it also accelerates the atmosphere upwards with it at the same rate.  This means a cloud would not need to be accelerating in an upward direction at a greater rate than the earth because the acceleration cancels out as both the earth and atmosphere are accelerating upwards at the same rate already.  Then your explanation covers the rest.

Presumeably that's true about the rest of the atmosphere, which has nothing to stop it going up and away from the Earth otherwise.

Ok if it's like that give me a link to wherever you got it at. You give me the link i believe you. No link I can't believe you because you could've just made that up.

Oh god, IT'S COMMON SENSE!  Do the search like Skeptical suggested, it's such an old topic I could have gotten that explanation from ages ago.  And what difference would it make if I'm the one saying it?  How a FE works is how a FE works (don't go into the BS guys...).

What's common sense? That you're an idiot to believe all the crap? When you all don't even know itf it is or isn't because nones going to take the time to go to the "icewall" and see? You all don't even know. You all just listen to books and that's it. Books aren't ALWAYS true. Nor is osomething that somebody says I don't even understand why I come here.

You have no idea how much I'm laughing, as changing afew words of that puts it in great favour of a FE.  No, I don't believe in a FE, but a RE.  But that doesn't mean I can't spread information of how a FE works to people who are new to it.

You're too stupid to be 12. And it was pointed out to you why you were wron, and we told you where to go to find proof of why we are right. Leave debate to the adults if this is how you're gonna act.

Don't insult lettered grades, some people reached genius IQ when still in letters.

It has to be said, this isn't a stupid topic, it was a good opening post.

However its been debated enough I think, let it die?

He fell for the trap.  If he were smart, he would know being smart has nothing to do with your age, and have called me on it.

You've been stupid the entire time.  And as suggested, I'm going to let this die.  Carry on if you would like divito, but it'll probably be moved soon enough.

Ire will not say that. He's classier.

I will say to you that's good, but grades are only one way rto measure intelligence. Maybe you are the smartest girl in your school, big deal. Please act like it in future.

Dead.
