Simple question.
« on: June 14, 2007, 05:39:15 PM »
Please tell me how this "fact" is true

Quote
Q: "How did NASA create these images with the computer technology available at the time?"

A: Since NASA did not send rockets into space, they instead spent the money on developing advanced computers and imaging software instead

I honestly hope none of you beleive this, how could this fact even be true, NASA ("conspiracy") and other space agencies have been sending up rockets for years, for christ's sake, we just sent one up June 8, 2007 (STS-117 by NASA the "conspiracy")

True 'dat'.

I can go watch the next launch if I wanted to.  Kennedy Space Center is only about an hour away.

Because FE'rs think the rockets are made out of cardboard and explode in the air when we all blink at the same time so we are under the illusion it went into space.
The Earth is round because Jesus told me so...

Well I guess fact was the wrong word to use, more like opinion, and this "opinion" really is not true, unless the Kennedy Space Center is one giant photoshop(somehow) project, like everything of NASA is.

When they are not proven...
Just putting these things in a post that says FAQ's and offers some answers and some explaination is not enough

You have a point. I just think you need to ponder more before you post.

I believe what you are saying is that there are many statements in the FAQ (For example: The North Magnetic Pole is on the underside of the Earth.") that are offered up as facts but are not. Indeed the statement is at best a hypothesis. That Pole could be on the underside of the UA, for example.

You're right to challenge those who present hypotheses as facts. Please keep up the good work. I ask only that you work harder to express yourself clearly and politely. Most of us here are REers (I think) and willing to work with anyone eager to seek the truth.

As part of the Primer project would you please review the FAQs and highlight those items presented as facts that aren't? It would help us get the job done. Thanks!

When they are not proven...

If they aren't proven, then they still aren't facts. The information provided in the FAQ are not facts, nor should they have ever been thought of to be facts. They are merely speculation and assumptions based on alternate explanations for evidence and occurrences.

I'm going to be honest with you, yes, but back on topic (now with use of the correct words)
do you guys honestly, beleive that these statements in the FAQs are true

Code: [Select]
Q: "What about NASA? Don't they have photos to prove that the Earth is round?"

A: NASA is part of the conspiracy too. The photos are faked.

Doctored photos in the 1960's?

Code: [Select]
Q: "How did NASA create these images with the computer technology available at the time?"

A: Since NASA did not send rockets into space, they instead spent the money on developing advanced computers and imaging software instead

What the hell was I watching at the KSC (Kennedy Space Center)?

Code: [Select]
Q: "The government could not pull off the conspiracy successfully"

A: Actually, they could.]

The government could not even hide the Watergate scandle.

Code: [Select]
Q: How do seasons work?

A: The radius of the sun's orbit around the Earth's axis symmetry varies throughout the year, being smallest when summer is in the northern annulus and largest when it is summer in the southern annulus.]

Wasn't it proven that the earth was heliocentric, not geocentric?

1.  I love how there's absolutely no explanation on how it can possibly be done.
2.  It wouldn't just be our government, it would have to be the government of every nation.

1.  The words are a link, dumbass.
2.  Only those nations which have the technology and have used it to put things in space.

The 'fact' itself is simply a logical assumption that follows if you believe in the conspiracy. If you hypothetically believe that the conspiracy is true, then it is the next step they would have taken.

However, I think the conspiracy is full of holes so I wouldn't worry about it.
