P.S. Incase you can't take a hint: I know that I cannot see the southern cross because it is below the horizon. But I'm sure their is a reason for this even if the earth is flat. It's a good thing I dont live on the other side of the world or I would look north to see the souther cross if the earth were flat.

Still wrong. There would be distortion of the constellations as the stars moved across the sky if this were true. It's just the idle wanderings of a poor scientist.

Stars stay in one formation, they won't move. If earth was flat, you could see every star formation if you look to sky.

True, the perspective effect would effectively squash the stars near the horizon, instead of have the horizon cut them off.  Look at any pattern on a ceiling and watch as the squares above your head become squashed trapezoids in the distance.

if the sun gets farther away causing sunsets etc, why do constellations and plenetary nebluae move accross the sky at night as well?

Yet dispite the distance of the object, neighbouring galaxies being the farthest, they all move accross the sky at the same rate? by you people's logic, the closer it is the faster it would seem to move.

They wont give you a straight answer. and that is an excellent point SparteX. stars move in a pentagonal pattern throughout the year, but I'm sure the FEers will simply say that the FE rotates in that same pattern, which produces the "illusion" of movement.

People tell you to look it up for several reasons;

The answer may be on the forum, having been discussed by many many people.

They may think the answer is somewhere, but it is not.

They are lazy.

They know full weell that you haven't looked for the answers you've just posted this piecee of crap thread.

you see, the problem with that logic, is that the answers are no where to be found. I (who have looked in various threads), have asked repatedly from numberous people to just give one piece of actual evidence to support the insane idea of a flat earth and have received none. people either ask you to go look it up, and when they realize that there isnt any anywhere, they give you reasons why they shouldnt give it to you. It has nothing to do with them being lazy, its just a bit difficult for them to come up with evidence that doesnt exist. sorry to break it to you, but your wrong.

Well no, I'm right. You're just ignorant.

However most of the time the info is not an 'answer', it is a debate where either a) we let it die because it was clogged up with people going "you're all crazy I have seen a launch dumbo" or b) it's an unfinished debate. ie, we never reached an answer. There is c); the debate was finished. Usually because noone can explain it in the FE universe so RE wins the point. Although occasionally us Round Earthers find ourselves out matched.
