So why are people trying to associate FE with religion? It is true that the Bible says the Earth is flat, but it also says that rabbits chew their cud, that pi=3, and that iron floats. You can pin any bullshit on the Bible, because not one part of it is true.

Not really, Flat Earth is apperantly disconnected with religion. And there are many non-religious people who think they are smarter then science. Geocentrism however is inescapably linked to religion however. So in a sense your right about some fanatics.

Ironically Religion could also be called the root of all good, it just depends on how you use your beliefs.

Despite popular belief, religion is not responsible for all wars/deaths/global warming/Donald Rumsfield.  And even more surprising, the two are not mutually exclusive.  A god or gods can coexist with evolution as long as you're willing to compromise.  Of course, we all have more fun bandwagoning and attacking a single theology that none of you can disprove or prove.
