What a bunch of hooey! Which way is the earth accelerating? In fact if we are a flat surface then we must be on the top of the surface to feel an acceleration such as you discribe. Whats on the bottom? And whatever is there must have no gravity at all, but be sailing out behind the flat earth as it accelerates through space. Hoooeeeey! :P
