A question that plagues me

A million pardons if this is a common question or if it is common knowledge for you FE scholars.

Whenever I get into arguments with those who believe earth to be a sphere, I never know how to get around the the fact that the moon and all the other planets in our solar system appear to be spheres.  How do I answer?

I resist categorizing myself, but if I had to choose a side it would definitely be a "Flat Earthie". I don't understand how one could walk around on this planet, not fall off, and yet believe earth is a sphere. The government is totally lying to us.

It is entirely possible to circumnavigate the Flat Earth. Click here for a map.

North is in the middle of the disk. A compass always points North, right? That makes East and West curved. Therefore when one starts off in North America and travels with a constant Eastern heading they will eventually go through Europe and reach China. Once in China if the the traveler continues traveling East they will travel past Japan and eventually reach North America again. There you go, a full circumnavigation on a Flat Earth.

North is Hubward, South is Rimward, East is Turnwise and West is Widdershins.

The earth isn't a planet?  Dude, awesome.  I thought it was just "special" and that's why it isn't like the other planets (indicating the earth is a planet).

The word 'planet' comes from Greek and is translated like 'a roaming star' since the planets 'moved' on the Night sky. Since the sky is fixed to the frame of the Flat Earth, the Earth can not be called a planet in the FE model.

Actually, to be more specific, the problem was that you assume the Earth is a planet.

The FE isn't a planet.  The RE is though.  So, if we find out if the earth is a planet or not for ourselves, we'll know if the earth is round or flat.
