Praise Jesus!

We shall henceforth banish the heathens from this green and pleasant (flat) Earth!

There was a jesus but he was a man. A good man with a valuable message. How come you don't see churches across the nation rising up to claim the earth is flat. The government couldn't bribe the most devout christians, nor could they wipe them out. Even the most conservative sects of christainity believe the earth is flat.

Because it says so. And why is the bible credible? Because it says so.

Many FEers here are atheists. We do not require self-referential proofs to demonstrate the Earth's lack of rotundity.

You mean like a conspiracy that is evidence for its existence?

A conspiracy is not provable by definition. Otherwise it wouldn't be a conspiracy.

There is nothing in the definition of "Conspiracy" that says it's unprovable.

A conspiracy is defined as a secret agreement between two or more people to perform an unlawful act. If there was conclusive proof for a conspiracy it wouldn't be a secret anymore, would it?

There isn't even inconclusive proof, it's a total fantasy (hence it's convenient agreement with FE theory).

That's only definition Tom... Anyways, firstly, just because something isn't proven, like a conspiracy, that doesn't mean it can't be proven. If i go by this definition alone, then yes, the conspiracy is totally provable. This is because if it's secret, then someone can find out that secret, this happens all the time with all sorts of secrets. There is also nothing in the definition of the word "secret" that says all secrets remain secrets.

You see Tom, a conspiracy doesn't need to be unprovable. You need it to be unprovable, because it's the back bone of your theory.

The Bible.

End of story.

In one quote in the Bible, the Earth is described as a circle.  In another, it is described as having four corners.  It's already contradicted itself.  You see, the Bible is not meant to be taken literally.  And if you think it is, then I would very much appreciate an explanation of how a circle can have four corners.

No, this isn't proof that the Earth is round.  But it sure as hell isn't proof that the Earth is flat, either.

Based on this definition it would be logically impossible for anybody but the people involved in the conspiracy to know about it, wouldn't it?

And you claim to know about it.  Are you part of the Conspiracy, Tom? :o

Firstly: "The Government is lying" is and RE'er, he just likes to imitate obsessive christens. (Nice job by the way... you act like a lemming, Following anything blindly  ;))

Secondly:
A conspiracy is defined as a secret agreement between two or more people to perform an unlawful act. If there was conclusive proof for a conspiracy it wouldn't be a secret anymore, would it?
Since there is no proof of a conspiracy, why do most FE'ers (Including you) often say there is. If there is not, then what is keeping the 'truth' from coming out?

Thirdly: Tom, I have asked you several times, each time you have dodged the question. If there is a conspiracy, and they have such a handle on it... How did you figure it out, and why haven't you and every other FE'er on the site been silenced? It is a popular site and the people in charge of it would have seen it by now, correct?

Hold it!!! Your statement directly contradicts the evidence.

Objection!!! Your claims make no sense! Think about what you are going to say before you say it!

Of course not.  And I'm sure nobody would ever consider sending an email about this site to NASA, since NASA's contact addresses are so hard to come by (Click here to contact NASA)... [/sarcasm]  :)

The Conspiracy does play its hand at strategic moments. In the 90's when FES was gaining momentum again our main central Flat Earth Research Library was set ablaze via arson.

Much of the Flat Earth Society's unique literature throughout its 150 year history was lost in the fire.

This site has almost 11,000 members.  What are they waiting for, Tom?  Shouldn't they have closed this place down by now?

- There are really only a few Flat Earth proponents on this website.

- Shutting the website down would only throw fuel onto the fire.

- NASA is more concerned about the Apollo Moon Hoax guys. NASA reportedly has a public relations budget which strives to pound the moon landing into public consensus and the history books.

- The Conspiracy only plays its hand after the Flat Earth Society has a breakthrough, publishes a best seller, or receives international fame. The few users on this specific Flat Earth forum mean nothing to the Conspiracy.

tom...based on your logic...if this were true, the government would have simply shut down the publishing of these best seller flat earth books. the government could stop this movement much earlier than u claim...so, why not stop the publishing, rather than burning down a library? also, i don't see how shutting down this site would cause such a riot...i only heard of it a few weeks ago by way of my brother, angelflesh, who posts here, who also debunked your defenition of a conspiracy....

Have you ever been offered a bribe Tom? Surely if they had such a strong hold on this wouldn't they have silenced you? I mean paying off some small man who is revealing big secrets about burning down libraries would be a big deal for them. So, Either you don't believe in flat earth, and there is no reason to pay you off, or... there is no need for the conspiracy because the earth is round.
