Wow. I am amazed and astounded. I bet the government knew about this but wouldn't tell anyone to make secret money. Damn governments.

To be honest, I don't think feeling how it is to teleport is possible. If we are turned into photons, and reassemble into fermions again, the stream of consciousness would be halted, and it would be as if we were a new person. The others wouldn't realise the difference, but our old self would be "dead". Maybe it's speculation, but that's how it seems to me.

You know, I read some book that had time travel/teleportation, and it's a very good point.  However, I think that it wouldn't be a big problem.  We and our consciousnesses are really only defined by the specific way all the neurons in our brains are set up.  So, even though "you" would die, another "you" would be alive, and for all intents and purposes it still would be you - not just to other people, but to the new you as well.  I don't think I really explained what I'm trying to get across, but basically, it's not a problem because you would continue living to the new you and to those around you.

Yea but the thing is the "old" you would be dead and who knows what happens to the "old" you's conciousness when the "new" you takes over your body... does the "old" you take a passengers seat or just fades?

Well, think about it.  None of the cells in your body live forever - they all get replaced at some point (I heard all the cells in your body are replaced by 7 years, though I don't know if that's really based on anything or just a random number pulled out of someone's ass).  Anyway, the point is, are YOU still YOU, even though your body contains none of the cells you had long ago?  You're literally a different person, even though your consciousness believes you're still you.  This is why I think that ultimately, what defines you isn't your consciousness, but how others know you, which is why destruction and copying of your body wouldn't mean the death of even your own consciouness (what you think of as "me", not just your body).

I dunno though I'm just some kid :P

Who let the kid on the internet?!  :o

Just kidding..that's a good point Pyrochimp. I heard the same thing about all your cells being replaced every 7 years or something like that.

Yeah, true.  I think all your brain cells are pretty much there until they die then they're gone.  Which is why it's good we have millions of extra ones kind of laying around.

Brain cells remain in the beginning stage of interphase of cell reproduction for their life, and never divide. Instead, they develop by forming new synapses with other neurons.

If this is what ur refereing to, it actually means that they only grow in a wierd way. It also says they never divide and produce new neurons.

They grow by strengthening the 'net' that connects the cells, but the cells themselves never divide and reproduce.

The cells do reproduce but our conciousness seems to remain the same... it's just hypothetical... nothing might happen... or you could take a backseat for the rest of your life.

That teleportation video is someone's attempt at special effects. It's pretty convincing too, in terms of it's hard to see where the video is cut and pasted.
