You know what I'd like to know?
« on: April 10, 2007, 07:50:26 PM »
Is that in almost every thread when an REer is arguing with an FEer, and then the REer says something and the FEer stops talking, does that mean they've been pwned and they know it?
Yes, yes I believe it does.
Take my Umm.. thread for example. An FEer may have replied only once, but he's replied to other threads since then and I have replied back but he hasn't.
This proves that the FEers really don't have sufficient evidence since clearly the REers are winning most, if not all of the arguments posted. This whole forum is so pathetic it makes me laugh.
If they want to be believed, why don't they go find the edge of the earth and take pictures? Sure, costly, but if they truly believe in a flat earth then they know that if they get pictures of the edge of the earth they'll be very rich.
Hey, FEers, insult me all you want about how low my IQ must be since you're so obviously right, but valid arguments actually work better.  ;)

I'll back you up from any vicious response from the FE'ers.

This forum is easily the funniest thing I've seen on the net.
I agree with you when you say they've been shut down in the debate, they just don't respond.
In my opinion, these FE'ers are the kind of people that have too much time on their hands. They create illusions and conspiracies out of nothing. It's the same as Charles K. Johnson himself, he and his wife were pretty much hermits. The guy had way too much time on his hands (and maybe some powerful drugs, as well) and with his religious beliefs, wanted to be the savior of Earth by proving everyone in the world they were wrong. In the end, all he did was create a ridiculous society, in which, others like himself, who want to try to prove the world has been wrong and they've been right. Personally, if this place wasn't so funny, I'd feel extremely sad for these people.

I predict Michale Crichton's next book will be based on the Flat Earth Society.

My experience is entirely different.

FE and RE debate about something. FE presents facts, RE asks the same resolved question over and over. FE moves on to answer other questions. RE stays and gloats over the "victory."

But I guess you already knew that. Well now that I think about it, you started with the gloating here. I do appreciate the candor, but there needs to be a game for there to be a victory.

My experience is thus.

RE points out an inaccuracy in the FE model.  FE argues until they are blue in the face that RE is wrong.  RE asks an honest question of clarification.  FE asks if RE has consulted the FAQs or Earth Not A Globe.  RE provides strong evidence against what FE is saying.  FE either shuts up or deletes the thread, if they have such power.

I have yet to encounter a question I couldn't explain with the FE model. Feel free to search my histories, in fact I would love to hear about questions I haven't answered.

*Ignores Narcberry*

I can definitely agree with this thread. Just looking back through old threads, I'd say that in about 75% of them the last post was by an RE'er who remained forever unanswered.

However, I am starting to think that the hardcore RE'ers might outnumber the hardcore FE'ers on these boards. It makes it difficult to keep a discussion going and it tends to overwhelm the FE'ers with questions too numerous to answer. Then again... what else would you expect for arguing that the Earth is flat?

Narcberry does answer most questions. But I haven't read one argument of his that isn't full of holes and totally inaccurate. Worse, on their respective threads they are shown up as such by round earthers, but he just says "i clarified this already'....

Then I am hiding in plain sight. I simply, for one, refuse to humor you, and copy pasta your detritus for your pleasure. Everyone can see through your empty skull, I am not needed in that department. I simply enjoy making you pull your hair out, soft though it must be.
