That's pretty fucking ridiculous. Surprised the guys who were involved had even hit puberty by that time...

This makes me even gladder we don't have the felony system here in Australia. Imagine the recstriction on this child's life FOREVER because of some stupid crap he pulled in primary school!!??

Another point I noticed was that they seem to refer to the county/township/district as a parish.... Is it my ignorance, or is that strange?

On a not-really-related note, Australia doesn't have a felony system? What do they do record-wise? Does that mean like if you were to kill somebody, they'd be like, "Yep, you're a murderer," throw you in jail for 30 years and then you'd be wiped clean? They let you out and then go, "Okay, good luck not murdering anyone else!" and send you on your way or something? Weeeeeird.

By Felony-system I meant the classification system. You still carry the blemishes on your record, but it's not as straight cut as "Felony on your record = you can't do these things". It seems to add a little lee-way in cases like this, where now this kid will be really disadvantaged, whereas perhaps out here it would only be on his Juvenile record, or they could argue for a non-conviction (you guys probably have these things as well, it just seem that if you get convicted of a felony over there, that's pretty much halved your standard of living forever.

Man, this vicodin is nice.
