Ok, so the Earth has this thing called a atmosphere, ok, and as sunlight comes to the Earth, heat gets trapped inside and later leaks out, so the planet stays relatively warm at night (as in not freezing).
However, on Venus, the atmosphere is so thick it is the hottest planet in the Solar System, hotter even than Mercury, the closest planet to the sun. This is because the heat does not escape in enough time before the sun comes up again.
On Mars, there is not atmosphere and at night temperatures drop to -266o F.
