Sorry our jobs don't involve asking "Do you want fries with that?".   UA and dark energy are clearly fe terms.  Hes trying to pass them as re terms.  And I never once saw  “dark matter” on here.  Most of those particles are theoretical.  People come up with them because they need an answer then they try to find them experimentally.  Tom just makes up shit then calls it a fact.

I replied to that distance discrepancy, just in a different thread. Here it is for you:

The only discrepancy I've seen was in a recent thread where a poster calculates the sun's distance from the Earth to 4,000 miles by using the measurements conducted by Eratosthenes in 200 B.C under the presumption of a Flat Earth.

Eratosthenes calculated the distance from the earth to the sun using measurements of shadows and the distance between Syene and Alexandria. Unfortunately, using old greek measurements are flawed for the following reasons:

*The accuracy of Eratosthenes' measurement would have been reduced by the fact that Syene is not precisely on the Tropic of Cancer, is not directly south of Alexandria

*Eratosthenes' unit of measurement called the stadia has gotten lost in translation over the years. Depending on the source you look at, a stadion is defined as either 148.5, 185, or 200 meters.

So thus, if you would like to demonstrate that the sun's distance from the earth varies from the FE standard of 3,000 miles you will need to preform the experiments yourself from scratch. Rowbotham and his modern followers have. The results have been published in the Flat Earth Literature, repeated many times over. One cannot rely on ancient measurements.

3: i read the hundred-year old book and spotted several errors in every section.
4-(howevermany you listed): after seeing 1,2 and 3 were useless, i decided it would be a gross waste of money to invest in any other bits of 'proof'.

There is a problem with your statement.  You say "our beliefs".  Having belief states you have faith.  Faith is not measurable.  If it isn't measurable, then it cannot be included under the heading of Science.  And if you do want to be considered a science, then you need be able to withstand scrutiny and be able to reproduce your data and experiments over and over.  You must also have 95% approval from the scientific community.  I do not think you have that approval.

actually, they probably meant both, although neither is directly related to a round earth.
However, both dark matter and dark energy play a key role in the big bang theory.
dark matter (neutralinos, the super-partner of neutrinos in the super-symmetry theory, the only current particle theory involving dark matter) explains seemingly random orbital perturbations of stars and galaxies.
dark energy is the key to universal expansion (about 4billion years after the big bang, the gravitational interactions between the objects thrown out were finally weak enough to be overcome by the dark matter constant (which actually stayed constant , it was the strength of the interactions that shrunk), which caused the universe to enter its runaway growth period, which it remains in to this day, and is forever doomed to remain in.
