Focault's pendulum

Have you ever heard of a person by the name of Jean Focault? And you might of heard of his pendulum perhaps? It goes on perpetually, because of the rotation of a ROUND EARTH! What do you have to say to that?

I can't remember what they say about that, but they appear to have an answer for everything.

Um...no, that's not what the pendulum does.  It's not a perpetual motion device.
