Yes, but religion does just the same.

It's not actual money that does these things.  I mean, a 10p can't get up and declare nuclear war on America can it?  No.  It's the greed of those in power and those who feel they need "more".  Yet, we can't say that greed and want is evil because it this same "want" that made us the great species we are.  It's this same want that motivates us to do what we want.  With out it we would still be "apes".  We wouldn't have information from Science as no one would want knowledge. Things like The Internet wouldn't have been invented.  So really, it's War in Iraq or it's back to the cave's Monkey-Boy.

Yeah money is a good thing. The Bible says that the love of money is the root of all evil and the rich man will not inherit the earth which basically means people shouldn't be greedy and selfish in general. Shame more people don't follow the Bible's useful parts.
