Did I get this right?

Did I get this right?

Correct me if I'm wrong regarding any of these points about the FE model:
-the atmosphere is kept on earth by the 150 foot ice wall. therefore, the atmosphere is 150 feet high.
-the "the hull of a ship disappears before the mast does" phenomenon is caused by the bending of light.
-the sun and moon have "gravity", but the earth does not.
-the earth is the only thing in space without gravity.
-earth is not a planet (since it does not orbit anything).

This thread is just for clarification regarding some things not found in the faq. I thank you for your time.

Nope, the atmosphere extends to several hundred miles.

This is not entirely correct. Some FE's believe the ice wall to be much higher than that. Possibly many thousands of feet.

Incorrect. The hull of a ship does not, in fact, disappear before the mast. But if it did, the explanation given in EnaG is perfectly plausible.

It also comes somewhat from the word "Plane" which is to soar. That doesn't mean that planes are named so much because they soar through the air all the time. Planet is named from the word "to wander" not because they believed it orbited something else (they weren't aware of that in Greece--I believe they had geocentric beliefs even though they may have believed it to be round), but most likely for alterior reasons. One that I could think of would be that it has to do with plane--which comes from planen, which translates into "soaring" as well as "wandering." It could mean that they assumed the planet was flat like a plane (a plane referring to a geometrical plane).
If you have reason to believe that the derivation is assuredly referring to the Earth's orbit, I'd like to see a source that led you to think that.

i've never had it cross my mind that the government was behind me thinking the earth is round..  basic science classes and science tv programs have told me MORE than enough to know that the earth is round, how can you contradict so many people that know the earth is round, with more hard evidence and proof then you FEers could EVER unearth?  It just doesn't make sense, it's almost like you're all stubborn kids that don't want to conform just because everyone is saying it, well hey, everyone knows the earth is round, it's time to jump on the bandwagon

The media is not tied to the government (though MANY argue otherwise...) with regards to the conspiracy; the media simply believes the information being supplied by sources claiming the Earth to be round.  Even these sources don't have to be in on the conspiracy.  Instead, these sources already believe the Earth to be round and thus never even consider the possibility that it is flat. 

As is well described in "The Conspiracy Compendium," the government is not "in" on the conspiracy, rather the conspiracy is in the government. The conspiracy is made of a relatively small group of specialists.
