What about travel in space, or airplane
« on: March 10, 2007, 10:48:56 AM »
Mu uncle is as an aeronaut who has traveled in space.
It seems to be round, rather sphereical.

Also if it was flat how could you orbit it,You can't go around or orbit a flat object. Are thousands of satelites wrong.
I have flewn across the world before.
You can't have an horizon without slope = rise/run which speheres have not flat objects.

If it was flat then why doe the sun shine at diferent times...
How do we have a core and mantel..
Your facts are not straight..

You FAQ'S dont help

They just change their arguement and contradict themselves constantly.  Its still funny to laugh at their belief in psuedo-science.

Why should I believe you? Do you have proof that your uncles an aeronaut?

Yes. They are actually probably just blimp-like things that float very high in the air. They don't actually orbit.

I can't even understand what you're saying here.

The sun is small and low to the ground, so it behaves somewhat like a "spotlight" per se.

We do. Who said we didn't?

Do you not under stand slope which is relevent for horizon?

And oyu think you are worthy of a theory that you wish to contradict the enitre common science of man?

I pity you people...

I cam only 15 and have made my science teach give up...

Don't make me contradict you till you end up in tears

Not a single element of the FE theory contradicts itself. If you wish to claim otherwise, I demand that you present your evidence.

And you made your science teacher give up what exactly? Hope in future generations?

Anything could be possible but it shure is fun undermining people and trying to argue...

If the universe + infinty, then technically any single and every single theory has to be able to happen someone w/e on this plane of existence or not.....

You still rapidly change the subject when you can't falsifie every single object I put forth towards your theory..

But we have falsifie every single object you've put forth towards us, you just haven't read the FAQ and Earth not a Globe carefully enough yet.

But on a more serious note...

The moon bit...

Anything that orbits is a a satelitte...
We took the name satellite for what the moon was called in the time of galilieo

The FAQ tells me nothing about my "horizon" bit...

Trust me I read all those before I posted

And whats on the others side of the box ,not watches

Acceleratrion is a prime factor in the theory of "GRAVITY"

Also I am only 15 and can tell I am quite the little challenge and not just through my bad grammer

Alot of my little mini facts you can't undermind or falsifie based on your own opinion so you
A) look in the FAQ
B)Tell me to read some dudes book which is one guys opinion verse the world
C)Skip over it...

Fair enough.

That's because your horizon bit didn't make sense.

you see a horizon

Which you need slope to create...

Also seriosuly flat ness can't be proved by a window

Thousands of mile isnt going to  be a constant curve it gets stretched out but not completely

That's exactly what I thought when you (TheEngineer) said you did not see a curvature.

I was expecting to see a curvature, however, I could not.

So when I look up at night and see satellites I am really seeing what?

Umm yes

Venus is located within a few thousand miles from the sea-level of the earth. Occasionally, it will obscure the sun.
