Explain this to me...
« on: March 09, 2007, 08:48:14 PM »
if the earth is flat then how is it that people in america see different star formations then people in say china at the exact same time. if the earth was flat then the whole earth would see the same formation of stars but we dont. the night sky in china is COMPLETELY DIFFERENT than the night sky in america on the same night.

Do you think you can come in here and disprove FE with that rubbish?

Read the FAQ. Then read the book Earth Not a Globe.

  • Told someone to read the FAQ
  • Told someone to read Earth Not A Globe
  • Claimed that anyone against FE is dumb

hey tom, i have read the FAQ and some other posts that were similiar to this one and none of them answer this question. seems to me like you are avoiding the question because you cant answer it. and if you post back again saying how dumb/ignorant i am and that i should read some book that i would have to special order because no one carries that piece of shit book, then i will assume that you agree with me and can't actually answer the question.

Tom doesn't read the questions he just posts generic responses because he is a RE troll.

If you had read the FAQ and the book Earth Not a Globe you would have noted that the stars are actually very close to the earth. By plane trigonometry, in special connection with carefully measured base lines, Samuel Birley Robotham has demonstrated and placed beyond all power of doubt that the sun, moon, and stars are all within a distance of a few thousand miles from the sea-level of the earth. Therefore they are very small objects. Therefore, when one travels between hemispheres the observer sees an entirely different set of stars.

For information on the declination of the Pole Star please see Chapter 14, section 6: http://www.sacred-texts.com/earth/za/za37.htm

On the subject of the motions of the stars in the North and South, please see Chapter 14, section 17: http://www.sacred-texts.com/earth/za/za48.htm

Given that your avatar is a blind man, quite appropriate.

You are a nice symbol for REers. They are blind to what is in front of them, so they get their life experience from books.

USING BASIC TRIG IF THE EARTH IS FLAT YOU SHOULD STILL SEE A NOTICEABLE DIFFERNCE DUMB FUCK.

FIRST YOU WANT TO TRY AND BREAK THE LAWS OF PHYSICS AND NOW THE LAWS OF MATHS... TOO MUCH YOU RETARDS....

tom your answer is flawed. you are saying that the stars are alot closer to the earth and when you go from america to say china then the stars are different because the other stars are to far away to see. well if that were the case then you wold only see stars when you looked straight up. the other stars that are at smaller angles to the earth would be farther away and thus invisible after a certain point. but you CAN see stars close to the horizon. this should not be possible according to you.

now please try to think of some bullshit reason why this is possible.

lol, wouldn't tom feel like an idiot if someone from NASA offered to give him a free ride to space via a spaceship? someone needs to take his ass into orbit and realize that all of this stuff is just not right.

how do you know the distance from the earth to the sun?  and explain to me how that would work to prove anything at all. to me, that looks like saying that McDonalds sells chicken nuggets for $1 b/c the people who sell them have shoes and hopefully a shirt, ranging from tanktops to t shirts.

It seems that some FEers get their life experience from Earth: Not A Globe rather than actually performing Rowbotham's experiments.

You do realize they didnt have TVs and Radios back then right?  What do you think they did to pass the time?  The Greeks simple used thier telescopes, as we use our telescopes now.
