ok. I see. Then I must ask. What exactly made us "think" we were going in a straight line? What halucinagenic shrooms did your hippy friends put in my coffee to make me think that??

The curve was so slight it didnt register in your middle ear

no no no no. We actually were going in a straight line, because we did not make any course adjustments so radical as to turn at the rather large angle your map purposes in order for use to reach Paris.

Also, I must remind you that the pictures provided are a visual representation, not a map.

In flat Earth, walking in a straight line is walking in a curved line!

but that doesn't make any sense. what causes it to curve?

The gravitational pull of the shadow object. duh  ::)

aaaah. The shadow object. and where is this? (I assume that to ask WHAT it was would issue the response "We don't know. It's a shadow object.")

In space! It flies around blocking the Suns rays and causing havoc by creating lunar eclipses and such!

a) bacardi is stuffing you around, as should be evident by his postcount
b) please don't make a new thread if it's already been asked- look for an existing one.

I find it funny when people say "have you seen this from personal experience" when in reality, the person saying that hasnt either. Has anyone seen the ice wall to know it exists? anyone got a legitmate picture showing this ice wall? anyone have anything about it? surely with all the space balloons and such someone would have a photo showing it, but no one has! I WONDER WHY???? oh wait, i forgot that photos dont count because they prove the FE theory false, so it must be a conspiracy. lol. ohhhh man I laugh at this crap slung around on here. seriously, on a bad day i come here just to laugh.

earth was originally molten

therefor water came before ice

therefor the sea would simply flow over the edges before the ice wall could ever be created

there's huge flaws in FE logic

and if FE supports big bang (which another post says it does), then the energy from that would support molten before ice

u need water to make ice

if the ice aint there, the water won't be stopped and simply flow over the edge

wow nice explanation "astronomy 101" thats really convincing. and by the way I am part of an expiditionary club and I have taken many long vacations around to interesting places around the world and done things such as climb mount everest, visit the north pole, and........ (brace yourselfs FEers) treked across the entire continent of antarctica. will someone please explain that one to me? and don't say that I'm just a member of the conspiracy thats seriously not even a valid response anymore

P.S. astronomy 101 DON'T TELL ME TO READ THE FAQ!!!!!

Any tale of a journey across Antarctica is really a piece of self deception. Explorers often fool themselves when believing they've made a transcontinental journey across Antarctica. After passing Magnetic South the common explorer will follow his compass back north. Unless the explorer is traveling at a perfect Rimward angle, his course will take him in a large semicircle back to the coast.

With the Antarctic conditions and amount of pure white snow, it is hard to tell if travels are taking one in a straight line. An explorer has only his compass to rely on.

ok so where were the ice guards when all this was happening? I don't recall seeing any ice wall when I was there either.

also explain how I went south from australia traversed antarctica and then went north over africa back into europe?

I don't see anything in the FAQ or the FE Literature about Ice Wall Guards.

Then the journey must have looked something like this:

Jeebus. And how many miles do you reckon that is, Tommy Boy? I should think one would notice such a disparity in travel time. Do you really think before you click Reply?

There are these things called stars. Perhaps you've heard of them. It's what people used to navigate before the compass.

The maps I provided is a little off, the red path is a bit bigger than it should be. But I would estimate that such an Antarctic journey would be around 3,000 miles on land. Crossing that amount of land is highly possible with the proper equipment.

Explorers don't plan transcontinental journeys across Antarctica during its six months of perpetual darkness.

Wow...kasroa, you should make that pic the one in your sig.  The one you have already is pretty good reason to believe there's no shadow object, but that's just...wow.  The moon's surrounded by stars in every direction.

I just like mine because there was no way they could say I faked it if I took the damn photo myself just the other night. I notice Tom hasn't even mentioned the shadow object since the eclipse. Funny that :)

Haha you're right, I noticed that too.  New lunar eclipse theory time?

r u sure ur not scared of being wrong??

heat  =  no ice

big bang would cause heat from the explosion

explosion is a rapid burst of energy

ie particles moving rapidly

particles moving rapidly = heat

IT's in the new Pirate's Movie... You should go see it: Pirates of the Carribean: At World's End.

John Depp is in it, therefore it must be true.
