This is the most rediculous thing i've ever heard
« on: March 09, 2007, 12:23:13 AM »
How can anyone possibly believe these crackpot theories of the earth being flat ? this was disproved years ago before a strong government was even established or even able to "brain wash" people into believing the earth was round, let alone around the world.

Dont even pull "read the faq" cuz i have and frankly it's quite obsurd.  Some of the answers aren't even answered fully and some have multiple answers.. what the hell !? Science can, has, and will continue to disprove anything the FErs have to say on this discussion.  What about the questions you cant answer ? the fact remains that if we had no electromagnetic field which is produced from our spherical core and the poles at the north and south ends of our ROUND WORLD that life would not exist at all.

I'm done, this is just depressing to think that actual people with IQs and resources at their disposal, can honestly believe the most retarded theory i've ever heard: that the earth is flat. WRONG ><
With no south pole, there is no electromagnetism, giving us no protection from the sun's harmful radiation--we'd all be dead right now.
The ice wall, supposedly made up of antartica lies around the edge of the earth, why no one has recorded it, who knows

Okay, first before a strong government was established? What are you dense?! Greece wasn't a strong government? Rome wasn't a strong government? Carthage wasn't a strong government? For God's sakes, that's leaving out the Japanese, the Babylonians, the Assyrians, the Acadians, the Egyptians, and that's to name a few. Honestly, I don't think that's what you meant.

Also, the governments probably have nothing to do with the conspiracy (at least not anymore).

Oh, no! Multiple theories relating to the same idea?! WHAT DO I DO?! My fragile mind cannot possibly comprehend such insanity!!!

I disagree.

They are left unanswered until someone does answer them.

Magnetism works equally as well on a flat Earth model. It's been talked about in numerous threads.

your thoughts of teh governments are still wrong, even if those were extremely powerful governments they weren't communicating with eacother on a vast scale to keep a conspiracy alive, also, with the questions you cannot answer, those can be answered very easily with science .. and all you can say is that you disagree with me saying that science DOES defeat this subject ? pathetic

Oh, right...So, I suppose that Greece, Rome, and Carthage never even knew that the other one existed, right? ::)

And like I say, the conspiracy probably has nothing to do with the government,

Yes, that's all I can say. You didn't give me any proof to refute, so what would you expect me to respond with. ::)

so what does the other powers of the world knowing about the others have to do with the conspiracy being spread ? the fact that it goes on sucha  wide scale and the fact that it makes the majority, almost entire world believe the same theory for years upon years is absolutely infathomable with how many people live on earth.

again all you say is "So?" science uses experiments and measurements in the very world we live in to accurately and precisely predict the outcomes of situations, these can be repeated and conducted with the same result over and over again.  Can your theories be applied to the real world ? how come people haven't gone out scouting the edge of the earth to go see and record this great ice wall, oh right, i'm sorry, the government will catch you before you get there ..

Whether or not i gave you no "proof" to refute, you can do a google search on the basic world, or go to a library and look it up in books, and find out more real information about the world then anything you can say about the earth being flat .. why dont you do your research instead of just directing people to your "awesome" believer mr. tom bishop ?

It's not that hard to do. Everyone in Greece believed that there was a gigantic mountain where the Gods resided, the Nords believed that the world was going to be set on fire and then devoured by a gigantic wolf, and there are tons of other sets of mythos and "science" that has been proven wrong even after widespread acceptance. To say that it's not possible is just ludicrous.

So? You still have no point, and I'm going to keep responding so incredibly bluntly until you actually make one.

No. But the conspiracy will. That's kind of why they do what they do...y'know...so people DON'T find out.

Quote

That's ridiculous. Basically you have no argument, so you're telling me to go FIND an argument FOR you so that I can then debate it? ??? Your logic astounds me...

Quote
.. why dont you do your research instead of just directing people to your "awesome" believer mr. tom bishop ?
As I've said before, Tom Bishop is a douchebag. And when have I "directed" him to you. Plus, I don't think he even believes the Earth is flat. ???
