Life on Meteors?
« on: February 24, 2007, 10:16:21 PM »
I found an article talking about a few years ago. A group of large meteors hit our atmosphere and burned up in the atmospher but for the nexy few days it rained red becuase of the dust from the rocks. Scientists collected smaples of this red substance and found micro organisms not known on earth. They did a heat test and it can withstand more heat than anything on earth which can explain why they made it into our atmosphere. After the article was posted it was shutdown by an unkown organization  but was mainly beleived to be the work of the U.S.A government. Tell me your thoughts about it.
AAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH...
The mole people were stalking me the other day. Thank god I didn't get killed.

Why is it always the U.S.A, "The" government? All I've been hearing on and on is that it is the government, and by the government, we mean the North American government. WHY IS IT THE NORTH AMERICAN GOVERNMENT, BOBBY?

Is said article from a refutable scientific journal?

I was reading an article in the journal Science about the theory that the Meteor Life issue was precisely how life made its way to the planet. Kinda interesting stuff. Life seeding.
My problem with his ideas is that it is a ridiculous thing.

Genius. PURE, undiluted genius.

Its very posible that that is how life made it to this planet......for all we know we couldve been sent here by another race purposly becuase of problems were we came from and they wanted to continue life from their planet......cuz whats to say ever planet only has one species of intlectual power that thrives on it?

If humans travelled here a long time ago, then that would mean we were already a further developped and evolved culture, since we currently can't transport people to live elsewhere in the universe.  Also, this would imply that other forms of life were already inhabiting the planet, unless we immediately degenerated to one-celled organisms.

I do, however, think that life could have began from micro-organisms being transported on a meteor or something to that extent.

Does it really make a difference? If we came from life on a meteor as this particular article suggests is possible, then where did THAT life come from? It had to have started at some point.

It could be entirely possible that there are humans out there on some other planet. Though I think in order for life to evolve it would have to do so on a planet or a moon and then explode somehow to spread the "seed".

Does it need to be? You can clearly tell it's fake. It's way too outrageous.

It actually sounds very possible, after all, no one aactually knows how the world began, and it sounds like a substantial theory with substantial evidence, i like it!

It would explain the apparent explosion of life seen on the planet all those millenia ago.
