The sun is 32 miles in diameter.

If the sun was 32 miles in diameter and hovering over us approximatley 3000 miles then wouldn't that have an effect on our shadows as oppose to our shadows are now.

Oh, I guess if the sun was at the same speed, as the earth traveling around the sun, then the shadow angles wouldn't have an effect.

Not to metion the gigantic heat spot that would be left from the sun hovering over us. There is no possible way the sun is only 32 miles in diamater.

Lol ... Take a spot-light and shine it on the ground. It will heat up the area that you shined it on... Thus concluding that said areas should also be found on the earth as well  :o
