if the earth is flat can you point me to which direction i can walk to walk off the edge of it?

what is this wall of ice?  i'm new to this, it all seems rather funny but i'm open to it if someone can show me how to fall off the edge.

Can you just as easily fly over this wall of ice?  What happens to planes when they fly over it?  can they fly into space?

well, considering people have done some pretty crazy things that took a lot of patience, time and effort, you'd think someone would have done this by now.

it's not that i mean to be pedantic, but rather to ask simple questions in order to get simple answers.  i think it would be obvious that to explain something as complex as a flat earth, or any shape of an earth for that matter, you should start with simple questions and answers and work up to more difficult ones.

I find it strange that all 191 countries would be organizied well enough, with not only themselves but also with each other, to keep such things hidden from 6.5 billion people.

well, actually, the first documented idea of a spherical earth first came about around 240 BC by a fellow named Eratosthenes.  He used basic geometry to figure out the circumference using the sun.

Later, in the 1 century, Pliny the Elder claimed that most people believed in a spherical of the earth through his texts.

Then throughout history there are many notable people stating their reasonings behind why the earth was not flat.

So your idea that a spherical earth is a recent idea is actually very wrong.

Well, if the north pole is at the hub and the "south pole" is really the Rim, as the flat-Earthers suggest, then clearly the southern hemidisc has three times the land area of the southern.

Proof:  Assuming the disc has radius R, the northern hemidisc's area is
  AreaN = pi * (R/2)^2 = (pi / 4) * R^2.
But the southern hemdisc has area
  AreaS = AreaEarth - AreaN = pi * R^2 - (pi/4) * R^2 = (3 pi / 4) * R^2
      = 3 AreaN

Who cares?  Well, it turns out that the US and the USSR are both northern-hemidisc nations.  They realize
  (a)  If the populace gets wind that the southern hemidisc is bigger, they'll realize that land is much cheaper there, and they will flee to South America and Africa.  The US/USSR will have nobody to rule over.
  (b)  If nobody but they know the secret, then they can go on exploiting impoverished peoples of the southern hemidisc, who don't realize how big their countries really are.

It's clearly in their best interest to keep us in the dark about this.

the idea, from what i understand, is that the sound pole is actually not a pole and actually a wall of ice that goes around the end of the earth.

of course that idea makes the southern hemisphere a much larger area of space than it should be...but whatever.
