Yeah so I watched the video. Can't say I was shocked or surprised, since I already knew what was going on, it's been well documented in the past by journalists, as opposed to propagandists. I must say, I have a strong distaste for "documentaries" that try to emotionally manipulate you like this one did.
Still, I totally agree that it is a serious problem, and indeed a strong moral issue.
I really think that considering the nature of the society we live in, there is nothing wrong, in principle, with outsourcing jobs to private companies. The problem is obviously that they cut costs and are corrupt.
Still knowing that there is a problem is the smallest part of the solution. I would like to know what you propose in order to solve this problem. Please be realistic. As is essentially documented in that story, politicians need the support of big business to remain in power. If the politicians refused to support big business then some other candidate would promise to, get their money and win power. While you can attempt to legislate against it, big business will do everything in it's power to make sure you lose the next election by spending money before the new legislation comes into effect. The most powerful forms of communicating messages to people (ie. the media) are all part of big business, so it's impossible to see a quick solution to such a problem.
We have to understand that politics is 90% compromise. You have to give things to the other powers so that you can get concessions on what you want. Maybe one day that will change, but it will have to be a slow and gradual process. Too much effort could be lost by aiming too high.
