Volvo yacht race
« on: July 15, 2018, 02:30:51 PM »
There is a major sailboat race held every year that used to be called Whitbread, now Volvo. I was involved with it one year. google "volvo yacht race". On one leg, they sail from Capetown to Melbourne. The distance from Capetown to Melbourne on RE is 6400 miles. When I measure on FE map, it is 15,000 miles.

People know when they left, they know how fast a sailboat goes, and when they arrived at Melbourne. The year we supported it, people from my department sent pictures of themselves with the boats in Capetown and Melbourne.

Can FE explain this? RE can, it was just a sailboat race at normal sailboat speeds. What is the FE explanation for them not knowing they went twice as far at twice the speed? Or ????
Is it possible for something to be both true and unproven?

Are things that are true and proven any different from things that are true but not proven?

What difference does time and weather make? These are pro yacht racers. They know how fast they are going, the have GPS, and they write their position in a log. Sailboats have a hull speed. It is completely impossible that they covered 15,000 miles in that time, particularly without knowing their boat was going twice as fast as hull speed.

This race occurs over several weeks. Don't know what time you mean. This is what was called "the roaring forties" by 1800s sailors. The racers like it because the weather is always windy. Over the course of a week, indeed a day, the weather could change. The boats were often hundreds of miles apart, so each boat could be in different weather.

What difference does it make?

Flat brains won’t respond. Tom bishop had no problem starting a thread but did he comment on others? No.

Time , speed  and distance warp in the southern hemiplane. ????
Same goes for the size and shape of Australia.
All RE Maps are grossly inaccurate.

Stick close , very close , to your P.C.and never go to sea
And you all may be Rulers of The Flat Earth Society

Look out your window , see what you shall see
And you all may be Rulers of The Flat Earth Society

Chorus:
