Could you ever be convinced otherwise?

Observing today's social climate, you must understand that the current model states a spherical earth. While science at its core is intended to be nullified and evolve, it seems that the flat earth guess comes with a bit of devolution (if confused, see Aristotle). With no scientific backing to nullify the current null hypothesis, you as the scientist still carry the burden to disprove that the earth is not round and validate your alternate hypothesis, in this case, "The world is flat."

What, if anything, could convince you that the science, replicated and verified internationally for thousands of years, is actually on to something? Could you be convinced that the world isn't flat? What causes you to believe that the world is flat?

(*Science is a process that tests an alternate hypothesis through experimentation and peer-review while it refutes the opposing, accepted views(aka. null hypothesis); Science is not a word synonymous with guess-work or religiosity. Let us keep this in mind as we discuss and debate.)

I could be convinced otherwise. Could you?

The nature of my scientific process dictates that I must be open to nullifying all hypotheses created in order to make an alternate hypothesis. So, yes, in theory, I could be swayed in any scientifically provable direction. I am not swayed by pure observance and conjecture.

What is something that would sway your opinion that the earth is round? How did you begin to think the earth is flat?

I don't think you understand statistics as much as you think you do.
