I've heard it stated several times that the "poles" were surveyed by professionals some years back and they found that the ice sheets are perfectly flat.
Does anyone have some sources for these claims? I just want it for my own research.
Also, any official statements that water if flat and horizontal would be nice. I found a scientists one time that stated outright - but I can't find that statement again, or remember what words I was searching when I found it.
