So I got mine finally. Love it.

Only qualm I have is the headphone jack placement, other than that no complaints. I have one of the fixed models, no stuck USB or scuffing/scratching occuring or a weird discolouring of the display, wifi issues, LTE issues. Everything works perfectly. Full 9 hours of battery life with moderate usage.

Holy fucksticks, 9 hours. That's incredible. If I use my Samsung Galaxy S II for that long, the battery drops all the way to 70% on a bad day.

Oh wait, I guess that makes the iPhone inferior again. Enjoy your child's toy, macfag.
I find that hard to believe. What are you doing for 9 hours on that phone?

Nvm, I see why: you probably don't use 3G data very often. Using the Edge (2G) data for web browsing and phone use will drop your power needs considerably.

That is a very handy feature.  I wish I had a nickle for every time I sat on my roof and threw my phone to the ground.

To buy a nokia 3610 you would only have to throw it off once then! Another advantage!

I find that hard to believe. What are you doing for 9 hours on that phone?

Having it in my pocket, mainly. I do constantly have an XMPP client idling on it (on a 3G network), as well as using it to listen to music on the bus and the occasional web browsing.
I'm going to side with the white supremacists.

Then clearly mine is superior, because my 9 hour mark is with heavy use. With your level of use, I could easily achieve a full day's (24 hours) of use on my iPhone 5. Sorry your phone sucks AND runs a shitty operating system.

I love the way people are getting excited about getting ~9 hours' use from their phone. to me, that means that you no longer have a properly mobile phone as it needs to spend a good proportion of its life plugged in and static.

Anything less than 2-3 days batterly life and I dismiss it out of hand. I don't want to be stuck on site somewhere in the middle of nowhere only to discover that my shiny toy with angry birds on it can no longer work as a phone.

Only one person was excited about that, and they were using an iPhone.

Are you talking about 2-3 days of light to moderate usage or 2-3 days of standby time? Because the 9 hours is purely from usage. The phone gets well over 200 hours of pure standby time.

If i watching a video/movie on my phone then I will get like 6 hours of battery life.  But With normal usage, just phone calls, texts, web browsing, and GPS i can easily get 2-3 days.  Samsung galaxy s2.

It seems more people are getting excited about battery life.

Again, 9 hours is CONSTANT use. So with light use, you could easily spread out that 9 hours over a period of a few days as well. I've done it a few times.

If you have an Android phone, you root and do whatever you want in terms of performance vs battery life. Depending on the model, you can carry an extra battery too. It's a thing I like about my S3.

iPhone, well, yeah.
