"Tom Bishop´s" constant determination
« on: April 06, 2012, 03:05:00 PM »
After reading the wiki for a while, I noticed that, apart Sentient Pizza, nobody atempted to determine the value of the Tom Bishop´s constant. http://theflatearthsociety.org/wiki/index.php?title=Electromagnetic_Accelerator

What is the theorized value of this constant? Which will be the conditions required to determine it? Maybe we could determine this constant, somehow.

  • FE'ers don't do experiments. It costs too much.

Zetetic observation of the constant angular distance between stars as their altitudes vary has determined the Bishop constant to be whatever value would result in the amount of bending being zero.

Damn. I just wanted a excuse to send a balloon to near space. What kind of experiments we could do there?

I suggest sending two balloons to near space both with cameras, one before 9AM, the other after 5PM, from the same location. Observe that lit surface shown and contrast them. FEers claim that you'll only see the curvature of the terminator, not the horizon. You'll be able to quickly disprove FET.

Don't forget to get permission from the local air traffic controllers for both launches. Reference: http://ukhas.org.uk/general:beginners_guide_to_high_altitude_ballooning
Keep it serious, Thork. You can troll, but don't be so open. We have standards

I have already read that. And I live in Spain so different rules apply there. Any other suggestions?. Any caritative hand who donate me 1000 bucks?

I think you'll spend more time obtaining 1000 bucks from a caritative hand here than just earning by sweat of brow. What's the effort to earn it for you? Less than 100 hours? Yes, science involves tedium.

Oh, sorry. I forgot the [joke][/joke]. I was asking about any other people interested on sending a baloon or a rocket to near space to accomplish "Zetetic" experiments.
