General Overview Q's
« on: February 01, 2010, 10:15:40 PM »
Honestly I found this when looking over controversial topics related to a scientific field. I have looked over a few of the Q&A's but I figured asking questions of my own would suit my purposes far better.

* I don't understand how this handles gravity, or does it simply make up its own rules?

* Are the stars and other astral bodies flat as well?

* It seems to me as if this theory may clash with some things taken as basic knowledge here on Earth, including some of the given elements of physics. (It seems to me as if you would notice a flat disc moving much easier than a spinning sphere)

From what I have read so far, some of the aspects in this theory seem to form facts to suit the hypothesis, rather than a hypothesis to support the facts. (Taken from Sherlock Holmes? Perhaps, but I like the quote all the same :))

**HOWEVER** That is simply my casual observation and not a firmly held belief. While I do not yet believe this to be on much solid basis, I would still like to know some about the ideas that holds this all together.

(If you only look at half the evidence it can't be considered science am I right?) :) thanks ahead

Read the faq in Flat Earth General forum.

Earth is accelerating upward and around 10 m/s^2

* Are the stars and other astral bodies flat as well?
No

They make up some laws of physics that barely make any sense to support, like bendy light theory.
