I have to agree, it seems the world is pretty convinced of a globular existence. Minus "conspiracy" and ensuing brainwashing, the ratio of RE'ers to FE'ers is enough to show contrary to your claim of intuitive flat-earth belief. Could you elaborate and explain in better detail why you think otherwise?
Why minus conspiracy brainwashing? Said washing is ENTIRELY the reason for the ratio of FE:RE believers!
Nevermind for a moment that we live in an age with the free sharing of information and that widescale brainwashing would not only be incredibly difficult and costly, but dangerous for conspiring governments to allow. That aside, why is the ratio so incredibly high?
To throw some numbers into the pot, let's assume that the FE's estimate of 12B people are on the planet, 6B are under the direct employ of conspiring governments. 6,000,000,000 remaining and only about 3,000 of them are confirmed believers in a flat earth. That's 0.00005% (1:2,000,000) that share your beliefs. Some universal truths about reality include it being very difficult to hide the truth (and impossible, given a long-enough timeline). With as advanced and as old a race as we are, less than one ten-thousandth percent of the public put any solid faith behind the FE beliefs. That's a hell of a brainwashing, wouldn't you say?
