People have an internet complex (meant to say 'internal', but this fits even better) that forces them to correct what they think is wrong.  It's apparent everywhere.  It doesn't help that a lot of FE-ers, at least the most annoying ones, are like the conspiracy theorists that go around calling everybody sheep.  It's hard not to respond to.
