Okay, I agree with your sarcasm. Perhaps we should agree to use blue font when being sarcastic.

If I can remember, I will.  No guarentees.
Thanks, but you know I love you just the way you write.

You forgot the blue font Gully!

All god points Roundy, but it flips the opther way. Why is the Earth special? Just because we haven't found another disc world, doesn't mean we won't. Maybe we are on a flat earth, the only one. But isn't that a little too much like egotistical crap from the humans?

It would be a logical fallacy to assume that the earth wouldn't be different from anything else.  It's not egotistical to stand on the ground and look up at the tiny points of light in the sky and think that the earth itself might be unique in the universe.  Actually, given an absence of other evidence, it's quite reasonable.

Plus, it's entirely possible that there are other flat worlds out there, with their own little universes spinning around above them.  It's egotistical to say that all that we observe is all that there is.

I like the second paragraph- I'm a fan of the multiverse theories althoyugh I usually think of them as being all from one point of existance.

On topic though, we have seen the planets, sampled moon rock etc. We know that other bodies have rock, at least. Granted we haven't seen anything like the Earth, except fossils on Mars, so I guess you could say we may be unique. Quite aside from the fact that that dooms us all to eventual destruction, I think that it's naive. Granted you might think I'm naive for believing in moon rock but hey, what the hell.

Here's something; lets say Earth is flat, but Mars is round. Could there ever have been life on a flat world?

Well, based on the terms of the question, I'd have to say yes, QED.

*Reads own question*

What the hell does that mean? Lemme rephrase.

Let's say that we are the only Flat World. Is there life on other, round worlds? Or are there other flat worlds? Do they support life if they exist? Are the uninhabitable discs?

Basically, does life have to be on a flat world?

Not only is every plant we can see round which would lead to a belief that our own planet would also be round just look at what form everything in nature want to take if you go inder water for example and blow bubbles the air takes a sperical shape hence why we blow bubbles not disks and I for one find it hard to believe that when everything I look at wants to be a sphere I am supposed to believe that our planet is somehow different than even things that happen on it

I agree in principle, but have you ever looked at a banana? Or a tree? They aren't round.

How a solid grows is not the same thing as how a fluid would react.

It would seem that the same thing that made the earth flat would make everything else flat so droplets of water would not be round they would be disks

Well let's see, plant's aren't fluid so you need to clarify what you're saying. However you're right, fluid generally balls up. Well, some of the time. Anyway, RE science believes the Earth was once molten, explaining the sphere shape to a degree.
