Yah, thats a pretty piss poor string of logic to support a round earth. Saying GPS data doesn't make sense with a flat earth, is like saying that its mathemathically impossible to make something called a 'map'

3) Satellites are not possible because they would immediately fall back to Earth. You could fake them with a very high translucent flagpole, but such a fraud can be discovered by simply walking under the satellite.

I am sorry, but this is abosolutley ridiclous.  In those three statements, you are challenging both the laws of physics and astronomics, which have been proved time and time again.

I will correct your statements with intelligent truth, not short-minded fake-belief.

1) There is nothing a government-sized organsiation would gain from censoring this planet's the fact that Earth is spherical.  Also, I am a 15 year-old Christian of the Anglican community, and I accept all modern views on Evoultion, Natural Selection, Astrophysics and such, as the vast majority of my fellow members do.  I do not believe that God would have wanted us to believe that the Earth was flat, otherwise one of his greatest creations would have been wasted.  He has given us the intelligence to discover our surroundings, and I feel He would be dissapointed if we didn't use it to our full potential.

2) As was first undetaken by Ferdinand Magellan, people have simply been able to circumnavigate Earth by sailing around it's surface of water.  Not only this, but many people have flown around Earth, laden with cameras and, often, broadcast live for millions to see on television.  If, as you propose, fly or sail from one edge of Earth to another, what happens next?  Surely the viewers of the flight around Earth would notice some strange change in direction of the place, if the pilot was attempting to cover up the fact that Earth is flat.
Another point, what happens to all out water?  Dose it float off into space?  If so, how do we have the same amount (taking into account into global warming)

3) A satellite in orbit is simply one object that orbits another.  The laws of physics and astrophysics easily allow for this.  It would be impossible to 'suspend' an object in Earth's atmosphere without some form of massive crane or pole, which would be impossible to hide.  It would also be immensley difficult to suspend.  Also, an object such as this would not be far enough into space to accuratley predict such meteoroligical phenomena such as rain, cloud and wind, which is described in a weather report.  Therefore, without orbital satellites, how can we predict accuratley what the weather will be?

It seems to me you base yourselves on attempting to disprove the arguments of others rather than backing up your own.



Here is Earth, as taken from one of the sattelites currently orbiting Earth.  If Earth were flat, then surely we would expect to see all of the continents here?  Perhaps they are 'hiding' behind the cloud?  Or, the plotters behind the consiprace what taken the image, edited it in Photoshop, and mide it into this.  Or, even better, the image is a Photoshop creation.

I have not been offensive, I am merely stating the belief of 99.999(recurring)% of Earth's population, and that of Earth's proven astrophysists and astrologers.

Okay, BlackJack, you're obviously a newbie, so let me fill you in.

1.  They will argue that the government has some ulterior motive in lying to you and that it does infact benefit them.  What this motive is they haven't specified.  They will alos tell you that they are the only ones who are using their intelligence to its full potential because only they see through this government conspiracy.

2.  According to the flat earth model, the north pole is in the center, with the "south pole" (as we round-earthers call it) around the edge, and the equator somewhere in between.  When Magellan circumnavigated the earth, he stayed away from the south pole, so he wouldn't have gone off the edge.  Planes also stick near the equator, with the government fiddling with their navigation devices to make them think they're going straight.  They argue that there is a 150 foot ice wall around the edge of the earth to keep the water in, which no one has ever crossed.

3.  They believe that the laws of physics can work on the flat earth.  They don't believe that people have gone to outer space.  This is part of the government conspiracy to make you think the earth is round.  To my knowledge, they have not explained weather predictions.

4.  Photos have been discounted as evidence because pictures can be edited in the computer.

First, let's define L=0.99999999999999 (with infinite nines repeating, so that I don't have to repeat it each time)

That being said I've seen nothing close to an explanition of the technology provided by satalites. Satalite TV, GPS, satalite imagery, meterological tools, etc.

I expect there will always people who are simply baffled by the advancement of science and who, either out of unwillingness to put in the effort, or lack of access to clear explanations, or natural inability, never get around to learning.  In addition, there will always be people whose blind devotion to dogmatism clouds their minds and squashes any spark of rational thought.  The Flat Earther Society will always draw their number from this lot -- but then, so will everybody else.
