Honestly, how can you really believe this? If the earth is flat, what is it resting on top of? Why are there glaciers in one location and hot, humid rainforests in another? What's causing tides? What is causing objects to fall to the ground? How do sattelites orbit the earth without flying off the edge? Is the moon flat too? What about the sun? How do you really believe this?

There is just way too much evidence to disprove you guys. But, if you can actually answer all those questions without me being able to disprove your answers, I will leave right away and not bother you again.

The only conclusion that keeps me sane is, no, they don't really believe it.

Alright, I'll focus on a single answered point. You say the earth is accelerating upwards at 9.8 m/s2. How can this be? If that were true, even if it only started 100 years ago, the earth would be going over 300 million meters per second and climbing. The speed of light is a bit less then that, and lightspeed is not attainable by any mass.

Considering there have been people on the earth for thousands of years, the earth must be now travelling at many many thousands of times faster then light by now.

Care to explain that?

Oops, I should have read your reply before posting another thread...  Sorry for the redundancy and stealing your idea, Event_Horizon.

No.  I've explained it elsewhere.  Suffice it to say, the issue you raise is not an accurate application of relativity theory.
