Stratellites
« on: June 21, 2007, 12:13:49 PM »
Ok if "stratellites" are balloons wouldn't we have seen them by now? They're balloons most likely like a hot-air balloon if it isn't a hot-air balloon then it then it's a regular balloon but that regular balloon would've been broken by now because we have jets and planes that tear through the sky and would've easily popped the small balloon and the reason why hot-air balloons won't work is because those things would have to be out in the sky and never come back down. Also today is a clear sky and that means I should see one, do I? No.

Don't bother, you won't get anywhere. If you ask Tom B it will be because of all of the air in between us and them (total bullshit btw).
I'm so tempted to put a scratch and sniff at the bottom of a pool and see what you do...

Avert your eyes, this is too awesome for them...

Yeah, there's no real expanation as to how Stratelites mimic, for example, the ISS. Frankly its impossible, the balloonmethod would require a very good propulsion system, better suited to a plane.

EDIT Whats red text?

When was the last time you saw the details of a satellite with your naked eye?

When was the last time you saw a balloon traveling at 27,000 km/h?

You could use a telescope and be aware of where a satellite was going to be at a certain time.  However the ballon thery is hard to back up. It can be done, but I'll let it's followers tell us how.

Never, but I'm not expecting to not see one as proof of a RE.

How do you know it is traveling so fast? If its angular velocity is so high that it would be moving at 27,000 km/h were it several hundred miles up, couldn't it also be only a few miles up and moving at a much lower speed?
the cake is a lie

I suggest that it's easier than that. Please reference: Heavens Above. Tonight is a great night to see the shuttle and ISS separated by a small distance. It's quite a sight!

If its moving at a much slower speed then it would be no trouble to find it in a telescope.  Not to mention you would be able to see it much better.

At it's simplest, we know these because that's the speed/height the engineers and scientists who created and are controlling the satellites give. We could discount them as liars, but if we assume everyone is lying without good cause, there's very little we'd be able to prove about anything (ironically, however, I can still disprove FE using my thumb, the sun, and a space of about six to eight hours).
